During their 44 year carreer, the MPB4 established themselves as the most important vocal group in Brazil.

An entire generation grew up listening to their vocal interpretations of modern Brazilian music, which now are musical milestones. They have been present since the 60´s in all cultural and politica movements, resulting in censorship and political repression during de military dictaturingship in Brazil.

Their sucessful shows annually tour all of Brazil for more than four decades.

Internationally MPB4 has performed in Portugal, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Italy and the United States, often sharing the stage with their friend Chico Buarque de Hollanda, who once said he felt apart of “MPB5”.

Their presentations have always been highly recognited and celebrated, so much so that recently the Swingle Singers came to Brazil and invited MPB4 to sing with them during two performances at the Municipal Theather of Rio de Janeiro.

The future is promissing, MPB4 have inumerous projects on the horizon. MPB4 is ready to continue fulfilling their role in interpreting the best of Popular Brazilian Music.
